3 Photography myths about Photoshop

While us simple folks of the world have been led to believe that Photoshop is the God of the photography world and that anything can be fixed with the click of a mouse, it appears we have all been duped.

And this is why – GALAXY PHOTOZ ALERT – hiring a professional photographer is so important.

There are many things that Photoshop can do, but it can’t do everything. In order to create the best-finished product you have to start off with a great image.

Ex. “curve-enhancing” jeans can only do so much if you weren’t born with a J.Lo booty

1. PHOTOSHOP CAN’T FIX CERTAIN BODILY FEATURES

If there is a certain facial feature or bodily feature you are insecure about then there’s not really much one can do in Photoshop to fix that. However a good photographer will know what angles to shoot at in order to show off your best features.

2. PHOTOSHOP CAN’T FIX EXPOSURE

A photo that has its exposure retouched will never look as good as a picture that was taken with the correct exposure.

3. PHOTOSHOP CAN’T FIX LENSES

A lens, is a very integral part of a camera that most unprofessional will overlook. Different lens provide different distortions to an image. Therefore an image shot with a zoom lens can’t be made to look like an image shot with a wide-angle lens.

While Photoshop is a great tool to play around with, when it comes to events like your wedding or your baby's first cake smash you'll want those moments CAPTURED, not fabricated.
